If your business isn’t growing the way you want it to and you seem to be stuck in a rut, you may be letting your fear of failing get the best of you. Sometimes, we think that we have to do something perfectly the first time we do it and if we can’t do it perfectly, then we may as well not even try to do it at all. One of the worst things to have this attitude about is your online business because the fear of failing can cost you valuable time and tons of money. So, here are three tips to overcoming the fear that you’re going to fail. Learn to do these three things and you’ll learn to stop letting failure hold you back.

1. Learn to Expect Failure
This isn’t to say that you should expect to fail all the time, just that you should expect that you will fail some of the time. No one is perfect at everything and no one has ever run a perfect business without making any mistakes either. But, the good news is that failure is good at teaching us things just like success is. So, learn to expect some failure and then when it happens, you won’t be caught off guard and you can be open to learning from the mistakes you make

2. Learn to Embrace Failure
Speaking of learning from your mistakes, you need to not only learn to expect failure, but to embrace it. How can you do that? You embrace failure by looking at how and why you failed and then making a conscious choice to not do the things that led to your failure. Embracing failure will serve you well in your online business because you’ll be learning from your both your successes and your failures.

3. Learn to Express Failure
Sometimes you just need to put your feelings into words. Find a trusted friend or someone in business whom you admire and tell share with them how you’re feeling about failing. Chances are they’ve failed many times themselves. Expressing your fear of failing to someone who’s been through failure can be just what you need to quell your fears.

The bottom line is this: if you’re going to run an online business, you’re going to experience failure now and again. The best thing you can do is expect it, embrace it, and express in a healthy way so you can use it to your advantage instead of to your disadvantage. Being able to handle failure positively is just one of the many things an online business owner has to do if they are to have a successful online business.

As an Internet Marketer, I bet you’re already aware how important it is to build your list. Just a couple of years back, Internet Marketers introduced a trend for their mutual benefits as owners of a mailing list.

This method is more widely known as a “Give Away venture”.

In a real sense, a Give Away event is much like a big time version of ad swaps. Simply put, a group of mailing list owners pool together and contribute their individual gifts in one limited-time event.

Each participating partner contributes a gift to the event. The gift can be a free product, membership pass or a one of the products he is already selling (if he is kind enough to offer one into the event).

The participating partner prepares a Lead Capture Page where he gives the gift in exchange for the subscriber’s email address. In other words, in order for a visitor to download the digital gift, he must opt in and subscribe to your mailing list.

When the gifts are pooled together into one event (site), every partner will then endorse the Give Away event to their own mailing lists.

The result: lots of visitors to one event as a collective effort of several participating partners!

With so many visitors downloading gifts from one focused event, a true win-win situation takes place. This is because the visitors get to download several free gifts for their own use and every partner gets to build their own mailing list!

Be in the loop and find time to communicate with other marketers and join Internet Marketing discussions and Joint Venture boards. This will pave the way for you to easily get notified about Give Away events in the making.

Commonly, when a business owner is looking for ways to grow their business, they may not think of heading to their local high school or college in order to hire interns. The newspapers and online job sites are the most common places business owners look to hire. The truth is, doing that very thing can have a tremendous effect on their bottom line.

On-the-job trainees, or interns, are people who take a position, usually for little allowance, or sometimes even for no pay in order to gain experience. Some people still choose to pay their interns, but even if they do, it is usually the minimum wage or just some allowance for fare and meal.

Teenagers and college students make great interns. This generation has been working with technology since elementary school and can work wonders for those needing help in this arena. Most of the time, they are able to help create a customized website, viral videos, podcasts, and more.

If you are comfortable with technology, interns can still help with a myriad of tasks such as answering emails, customer service, posting content on a website or blog, social networking, internet research and even writing can be handed over to an intern.

If you are short on space or only have one computer in the home, the intern could meet with you once a week to learn a new task or get feedback on previous tasks and complete their weekly assignments from their own computer at home or at school. It is not uncommon to find teenagers and college students having their own laptops. They can already use these resources as they work for you.

There are many benefits to working with an intern. Since the intern will be taking over some of your business tasks, you’ll be able to accomplish more within your own business. You can finally focus on the core of your business, and let your intern handle the minor time-consuming tasks. Hiring an intern will also be very budget friendly, as they will most likely be working for little or no fees.

A student intern may also be able to give you a fresh perspective that you may not get from other sources. For example, someone with years of experience may have a certain routine or way of doing things. Someone who is being faced with that problem for the first time may have a very creative way of solving it.

These students are currently being trained in the subjects you will have them working on. If they are attending a good school, they most likely have access to great teachers, tools, and sources of information. The intern could be learning about a new business technique in class and end up teaching you something new.

On the other side of things, a non-business intern can still help you grow your business. A student who is majoring in early childhood development or education could be a great help for your childcare needs. The student could come to your home and entertain your children while you are working in your office. This is a cross-over between an office and personal assistant.

Hiring interns will help them gain valuable experiences to prepare them in their chosen career while helping you accomplish a myriad of tasks for your business. A definite win-win situation for all.

There are many benefits to providing a newsletter for your opt-in list subscribers provides in terms of driving traffic into your site as well as boosting the sales and profits. This marketing ploy is one that will not make a big dent in your marketing budget and most importantly, it only requires minimal number of man-hours in developing this project.

With a newsletter, you can inform the public about your company and products as well as services. You can keep your subscribers updated about what’s new or what’s going-on with your company, as well as your latest promotions and offerings. With these, you keep on reminding your subscribers that your business still exists and you are willing to offer them good deals and services.

Newsletters also allow you to impress your subscribers. It can show your expertise and knowledge about the topic at hand and the numerous benefits you can offer them that they simply couldn’t afford to pass up. When you impress people, they will become potential customers and another great thing is that they can recommend you to their friends, colleagues and family. All of them could very well be customers in the future.

If you do not have a newsletter or publishing one for your site, then you may have to consider about researching and be well informed on how to publish one. It is not as easy as it seems but if and when you get the right idea and process, it will be smooth sailing from there on out. Try to take the time to learn what you need to learn and get that newsletter ready and good to attract subscribers to your newsletter resulting to driving traffic to your site.

In the next few paragraphs, I will provide you with some things to reflect on when you decide to start your own newsletter for your site. Here are five things to consider when publishing a newsletter:

1) Make sure that the content of your newsletter pertains to and is closely associated with your business or the theme of your site. Do not dwell too far on what could be regarded as your field of expertise. You have started a site and your theme for your site will always be something you are knowledgeable about. For example; if you have a site that sells auto car parts, your newsletter must contain articles or content like photos that pertain to cars, auto parts and such. You may also include content about your company and your staff.

Remember that visitors of a certain site are there because they are interested in what the site has to offer. If they sign up for an opt-in list or for a newsletter this means that they want to be updated on that certain theme or subject. Be sure that when you publish your newsletter you are providing for the need of the subscriber based on their interests.

2) Ensure that you have well written information and content rich articles. You articles will be the body of your newsletter and that they should be able to excite your readers while providing information. Articles should be well written and checked for errors such as spelling and grammatical errors to make sure it looks professional, thus believable. Keep in mind that the trust of your clients to you and your newsletter is at stake.

3) Fact-check your articles. Make sure that you provide accurate facts and figures so that your reputation as an expert knowledgeable in that field is not questioned. If you lose the trust of your subscribers in this sense, this will most likely drive them to unsubscribe to your newsletter, therefore you will lose potential sales along the way.

4) Provide fresh and new articles that can provide new information to your subscribers. If you publish stale and old news in your newsletter, there is a tendency your subscribers may have already read and known about them. This in turn will lose their interest in your newsletter and they won’t get to read what is most important, your ads. Soon, they may decide not open or read any more of your succeeding newsletters losing your primary intention in writing and publishing newsletters- to get them to visit your site and make a purchase.

5) Put an effort to making or sourcing your own original content and always keep in mind to never use copyrighted materials such as photos and articles. This is outright plagiarism, and you may get into a lot of trouble for this. Not only is there the possibility of losing your business, moreover you can get sued over copyright infringement, and you wouldn’t want to get into that kind of mess. Like many other business owners, if you find that you do not have the time to write your own articles, there are many willing and able professional article writers that can do it for you at a reasonable charge. Take this as an investment, and expect that all your investment in writing and publishing articles will be well worth it when you see your list build up, and your traffic increasing leading to more sales.

Adsense has always been the way webmasters go when they want to monetize their websites. Though a number of webmasters are struggling hard to make some money through their sites, some of the brilliant in the bunch are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day just from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters stand out from the others is their ability to think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips had boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings:

1. Go for uniformity. Concentrate on one format for your Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format has the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Go for blending. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, this will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Go for visibility. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed at how the difference between Adsense locations makes your earnings grow.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and always keep in mind to maintain and manage them. If there are already a number of Adsense linking to that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way, visitors will see your ads first when they browse through that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the web pages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. By using this SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every click through that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

These tips were proven to have boosted the earnings of those who shared it. Please take note that these are just guidelines they want to share with others for their benefit. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, chances are it can work wonders for you, too. What have you to lose? Go ahead and try them out on your ads and see the results it will bring.

If others have done it, why can’t you? As they say, there is no harm in trying.

Publishing your own eZines, or online newsletters, has its downsides, in spite of the several benefits it offers, just the same as any other types of businesses.

The purpose of this article is not to scare you away with the disadvantages of publishing your own eZine, on the contrary, it will show you how you can easily tackle the them. Always keep in mind that the benefits are often more attractive, therefore overshadowing the drawbacks.

One obvious challenge most beginning eZine publishers face is the creation of eZine content. Creating your own content can be tiresome and time consuming, especially if you are not a gifted writer and that you run out of ideas every so often that your publishing schedule is threatening you.

A way of taking care of this problem is to create your content in advance. You can compile 30 days worth of content in one day, for example. If you are not blessed with writing skills, you can broker the writing task to capable freelance writers which you can find at places such as www.elance.com or www.odesk.com. While you need to pay for such services, the credit for the written articles is also yours for the taking.

Alternatively, you can republish articles from article directories such as http://ezinearticles.com/. This is a free method you can use in making content, provided you include the resource box of the original author and that the article has republishing rights conveyed.

Overall, one can easily undertake the content creation challenge using these simple methods that do not require writing on your part, free or paid.

It is imperative to consider significant success factors that can determine the flow and goal of your eZine when choosing a topic for it.

You are encouraged to write non-time sensitive contents such as short tips, mini stories and interviews. Doing so enables you to create content in advance so that you can conveniently dispense to your subscribers at a later schedule.

Topic-wise, you will do well to cater to a starving market that will always be on demand for the kind of content you offer. And by this, I mean that you should zero in onto a demand that has been, is and will always be there.

Relationships and dating are niches that have been on Earth long before the World Wide Web came up, for example. The food niche will always be there as long as there are chefs cooking for anyone with a stomach to fill. Parenthood and family is also a good way to go.

Having said that, you also want to have a steady stream of products or services of your own or an affiliate that you can endorse to your mailing list and make even more money.

As products and services are created almost around the clock, there is reason to believe that the Internet Marketing niche will remain one of the most-sought after niches there is. For as long as there are Online Businesses cropping out, there will always be needs to be fulfilled. Your eZines better cater to them.

Regardless of the topic you are publishing, contents can be generally divided into four sub-types, namely factual content, short tips, mini stories and case studies.

Other than writing your own content, you can get your own unique content the quick and easy way by organizing an interview with an expert or leader in the topic.

More often than not, this can be arranged for free and specially that the interviewee is writing out most of the content, there is nothing else for you to do other than giving the interviewee something valuable in exchange (maybe a meal or a Starbucks!).

Now if you have money to spare, ghostwriters are available to write your content for you without taking any credit. They can easily be sourced on the web. Among the top recommended professional marketplaces where you find these ghostwriters are www.elance.com and www.odesk.com.

Another little known and underused method in getting your own content is via public domains. If you are not familiar with the term “public domain”, it simply means anything that is NOT protected under US copyright law.

This includes ALL works published before 1923 and, under certain conditions, works published up to 1978. And in this case, we are referring “works” to written materials such as reports, articles and books.

Republishing and repackaging public domain information can help you save time and effort from creating new ideas and content as they are readily available. On top of that, not only are you not liable to pay royalties or copyright fees on those works, you can sleep well at night knowing that you haven’t violated any law governing this.

If you are faced by this challenge and do not have time or does not have the niche to write, then these methods will work well for you.

Pre-planning and the right setup to create success are the things you will need to make it work for you and your online business, just like any other traditional businesses.

The first thing you want to be sure you don’t do is get over-zealous. The one thing you need to avoid at all costs is spamming. Spamming is still used widely, but with the government establishing more restrictions and penalties for violations, no one wants to be in that situation. The professional image of your site is at stake if you just go on sending emails blatantly.

Spamming requires a database that contains a huge list of e-mail addresses set up so that the message can be delivered with one click. The problem with it (aside from the governmental restrictions and associated fines) is that it annoys the recipients and kills the validity of your campaign, which in turn kills the factors that would motivate someone to refer your site.

You need to personalize by creating your website with personal appeal. You must see to it that your website makes your customers feel safe, secure and cared for. Email is important because it is and has always been one of the most affordable ways to keep in touch with your customers.

To properly handle email permission, you must assure your customers, first and foremost, that their email addresses will not be sold or shared to third party companies. The next thing to do is to attach the benefits they can receive to the need for their email addresses.

A good way to go about it is to attach coupons or discounts that are only available to members who are signed-up to email notifications. Viral marketing effect takes place every time you send out an email.

Persuading your prospects to buy is already not an easy thing to do, but if they encounter an issue while actually trying to make a purchase is making the process twice as hard. No matter how hard you work at talking your prospects into buying, they might hold off and totally walk out on it if they find the process complicated.

First, you will want to check that people can find your order form easily and hassle-free. You can write a clear, concise paragraph to direct your prospects to your order form so that you can minimize the chances of them getting lost. You can also reduce the chances of losing prospects by putting a prominent link to your order page from every other page on your site. Better yet, why not put a “Buy Now” link to each product that you are offering on your site which will accumulate in their virtual cart?

Also, do you offer multiple payment options? Some people may feel comfortable paying via Paypal, some may only want to pay with their credit card and others might want to send a cheque or money order. The more options you offer, the better your chances of covering your prospects’ desired payment method. After all, it wouldn’t make any sense to sell hard to a prospect only to find that they won’t be able to pay you how they prefer to.

On the other hand, you will want to prove that you are a credible merchant. Is your order form secured using encryption technology? You would want to look into SSL for this. You can also offer a money back guarantee so that people will feel confident about buying from you. How about after sales support? Who do they contact when they have problems after purchasing?

Furthermore, you can add customer reviews or testimonials, your contact information, address, and so on to boost your prospects’ confidence. This way, you give them the feeling of safety about buying something from you, a total stranger to them on the other end of the Internet.

In summary, it would be such a waste on your efforts to sell if it boils down to a prospect buying and something simply goes wrong when he or she is ready to pay. Best to put all your efforts to eliminate any chances of this happening, and maximize your earnings!
